I specialize in math support for K-12 students including Algebra 1, Geometry, Algebra 2, Precalc/Trig, AP Calculus, and SAT Math preparation. I have provided tutoring services for the past four years, working with students in middle and high school to help build their confidence and skills. With the proper support, I believe that everyone has the ability to succeed in math and I am passionate about working with students to ensure that they have a positive mindset when approaching and tackling challenging problems. I am a freshman at Oberlin College as a mathematics major and plan on taking a gap year for 2018-19. I was accepted to Harvey Mudd College, California Polytechnic University San Louis Obispo, Reed College, Rensselaer Polytechnic, and several other small liberal arts colleges. I graduated from high school with a 4.1 GPA, scored 1570 on the SAT, and have taken several advanced math and science courses in high school, including AP Calculus BC, AP Physics, and AP Environmental Science. I have supported students with advanced math abilities and special learning needs. I pride myself on my ability to take the perspective of the student and explain approaches to problems in various ways until there is comprehension. I am patient, adaptable, motivated and enthusiastic about helping people enjoy mathematics.

Hi! When I'm not tutoring, I love to be outside. I am an avid backpacker, hiker, and traveler, I do aerial silks, I garden, and I love ultimate frisbee, rock climbing, cross fit, and trail running. I also am very passionate about music: I have played piano for the past ten years, and am currently an audio engineer intern with a local music producer. I love taking road trips and exploring tide pools on the coast. I am a certified rescue and advanced scuba diver - I love marine biology as well as math! I am passionate about getting to know and helping people. Can't wait to hear from you!
